  • GETTING THERE: Lake Tahoe resorts are a scenic one-hour drive from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, a major hub with more than 170 daily flights to and from 19 destinations. Lake Tahoe can also be accessed through Sacramento International Airport (about 120 miles from Lake Tahoe) and San Francisco International Airport (about 200 miles away) for couples looking for a multi-state road trip. The Amtrak California Zephyr Route stops in Truckee, Nevada, which is north of Lake Tahoe but close to several ski resorts.
  • GETTING AROUND: There are a variety of transportation options for couples vacationing at Lake Tahoe. Car rentals are available for those who want to see the area on their own time.
