Want to get wild on your honeymoon – head to Panama. Panama is known for its canal, but there is so much more – places to laze, historic cities to explore, modern metropolis to discover and a mixture of both the Caribbean and Pacific flair. Located next to the Amazon, Panama boasts the largest rainforest in the Western Hemisphere and the exotic flora and fauna here is out of this world. Or get buzzed with a coffee plantation tour. After you are finished with tasting the beans of the land, give your mind and body a break with some rest and relaxation by the water. Panama has it all and more!

Three million years ago, the Isthmus of Panama changed the world forever, dividing an ocean and bridging the gap between two nations, prompting one of the most significant natural evolutions in history. Today, this land in Central America is home to more species of birds and trees than the all of North America. Discover its beautiful landscapes, rich culture and endless tourist activities on your next romantic getaway.

The Panama Canal put the country on the map and it is quite the sight to see. The engineering marvel connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and cruising the 50-mile canal is something to check off the bucket list. After you travel the canal, grab a bike or boots to explore the Amador Causeway. With amazing views, this mile-long breakwater (connecting four islands) is the perfect solution to get your blood pumping. Some other activity highlights include rainforest tours, zipline tours surfing, snorkeling, diving, hiking, white-water rafting and more. Had enough of nature? Hit the city for some world-class dining, nightlife and shopping (where you’ll find some of the hottest brands!)

The famed canal may have been the only reason to venture to Panama in days gone by, but this tropical paradise has blossomed into an excellent destination. Beaches blend seamlessly with pristine rainforest, wildlife and the colonial historic attractions. Get lost in this new frontier of romance and experience the sensual country of Panama.

About Panama

  • SEE THE CANAL: First opened in 1914, the Panama Canal has been a must-see for travelers. This 50-mile canal raises ships from Pacific, through Panama, and lowering them back down to the Caribbean (and vice versa). It is quite the sight to see… or experience on boat!
  • BIKE IT: The Amadour Causeway is a four mile ride made from excavated rocks from when the canal was built. With breathtaking views of both the city on one side and the canal on the other, the ride is a great option to spend some time together while getting some fresh air. Grab a bite to eat or stop at a shop or two for a little breather.
  • EAT LIKE A LOCAL: A nice night out or two is usually mandatory while on honeymoon. However, while in Panama, make sure you give the local bodegas a try. The country’s flavors will have your taste buds buzzing.
  • HANG TEN IN BOCAS DEL TORO: Bocas is one of Panama’s most popular destinations, with a laid-back Caribbean attitude and beautiful setting. Surfing and snorkeling are a must!
  • GET BUZZED: Panama has some great coffee and a visit to the country is not complete without a coffee plantation tour!
